The day started off with Robert Kiyosaki recapping what had happened yesterday, 26th May. He talks about the effectiveness of the various activities of learning such as reading, listening, participating in a discussion and showing or experiencing from a dramatic scene. Yesterday, Blair Singer asked anyone from the audience who is willing to come onto the stage to share about his business. A man from China went up on stage and Blair Singer gave him 15 seconds to sell him. At first, the guy stumbled and Blair Singer kept rejecting him by asking him a lot of questions. One of the question Blair Singer asked him is “Who are you? I don’t even know you!”. Through this dramatic example, as the cone of learning states, I can remember this lesson very deeply in my mind. From this, I learnt the importance of branding.
After lunch, Kathy Heasley talked about BRANDING where she showed us examples of famous brands. One example is Mcdonalds. Everyone knows about Mcdonalds from a child as young as 5 years old to an elderly. After that, she talked about the importance of a Brand. She says that a Brand sells for you first before you even start to sell, a Brand lets people know who you are. Would people buy from you if they don’t even know who you are? I don’t think so because everyone is fearful of salesmen whom they don’t know and thus, the success chances of closing the sale is very slim. She then did a simple exercise where she took out 2 shirts, a Polo shirt and a Lacoste shirt. She then asked for a vote to which brand of shirt will people wear. She then asked for a few audience to go on the stage to explain their choices. A lady in white said that she would wear Polo shirt because if she can leverage on the popular brand of Polo to give herself a better impression to others. Another guy say that he prefer Lacoste shirt because he feels that the design looks much younger.
At the end of the day, I managed to take pictures with some of the speakers like Robert Kiysoaki, Kim Kiyosaki , Ken McNelroy, Michael Maloney and even got their autographs. You can view the pictures in my facebook profile. Click here to view.
