My 1st NAC(National Achievers Congress) Experience Day 1 26th May 09

The moment I reached Expo, WOW! Expo Hall 2 was packed with so many. At this moment, I realised that Robert Kiyosaki had so many followers.

The seminar started off with Deborah, the LADY with the MILLION DOLLAR VOICE as the emcee and she introduced Robert Kiyosaki. Robert Kiyosaki then introduced himself , his wife and his team. A total of 10 people. During the introduction, his team members started introducing what they will be talking about. Michael Maloney asked the audience, “Do you trust  in the US Dollar?”  At this moment, the crowd was very quiet and did not make any noise. He then said that he do not trust in the US Dollar. He took out a US Dollar note and to everyone’s surprise, he burnt the note to prove his point. Which is he DID NOT BELIEVE in the USD!

Robert started off by talking the cone of learning by Edgar Dale. The cone of learning is a cone where it shows the different activities that we do when we are learning and how effective each activity is. For example, after 2 weeks, we tend to remember only 10% of what we have read. Thus, this means that reading is not very effective. Whereas, by participating in a discussion, we tend to remember 70% of what we have said.

He then talked about his Rich Dad Poor Dad book where he talks about teaching the people about Financial Intelligence. He explains that the school system that we are currently attending is not teaching us about Financial Intelligence.  He says about the history of the school system and at which year did the Financial Intelligence part was taken away from the school system and that year is 1913.

Blair Singer talked about the most important skill in life. Can you guess what it is? The most important skill that we all ened is to SELL. Everyday, we are selling, it is just that we don’t know we are selling. Let me illustrate this through a simple example, when you want to bring your message across to another person, you are actually selling. Selling does not always mean money transactions.  Blair Singer says, “ If you don’t sell, you don’t have income!” But in a Business, SELLING = INCOME. Blair Singer then talks about teaching the team to sell because if only 1 person in the team can sell, the team is not efficient  because if that person falls sick or is not there, the team cannot sell thus, no income and the business will fail. So Blair says that everyone in the team must be able to Sell. Blair then asked ” Anyone in the audience who is willing to sell him his business opportunity or idea to come onto stage and if he is convinced then he will give that person $100 . A man from China immediately raised his hand and Blair asked him to come up. That man was a very courageous person and Blair said to him, ” I give you 15 seconds to sell me your idea!” The man then started to sell to blair but even before he could talk about his opportunity or idea, Blair kept on interrupting him with questions like “Who are you? I don’t even know you!” And thus, the 15 seconds was up and he did not manage to sell his idea moreover, talk about what he was going to sell. Blair then said ” I am not going to give you $100 but I am going to give you this, a Presentation Kit from SalePartners” That man was very happy.

Robert then came onto stage and talked about the question that Blair had asked which is “Who are you? I don’t even know you!”  Robert says that this question is very expensive because if people do not know you, they would not even be interested in you or what you are selling. Thus, Robert talked a little about Branding and how a brand sells you even before you start selling.

Got to rush off for NAC 2nd Day…
