Last Saturday, I just attended the “Income Explosion Seminar” at Suntec Convention Centre Room. It was a seminar packed with around 20 participants and 2 incredible speakers, Mr Raymond Chong (The Head of SalesPartners Singapore) and Damian Boon (Franchisee of SalesPartners Worldwide).

This seminar has truly benefited me asI learnt how t ocreate long-term and sustainable wealth through business building and sellling. I learnt many things about business for example the 1st Rule in Business which is “Selling Requires Energy!” It means when two parties meet, the one with the highest energy usually wins. So, everything is energy so selling requires lots of energy to make a sale.
I also made a few new friends at this seminar. I like making new friends at seminars as they are like-minded and thus, we are able to communicate better as we have a common topic.
3 Lessons from the Income Explosion Seminar:
1. Number 1 Rule in Entrepreneurship
Understand who’s going to pay?
-Pay for your business’s operating costs, equipment, etc…
The lesson here is that the Customer Must Always Pay.
What do I mean by that?
- You deliver a product or a service of value to a customer and he accepts it then, it is right that you collect payment from your customer. You must ensure that your customer always pay. As Napolean Hill says: “There is no such thing as something for nothing.” Thus, you need to always collect money after giving value. I learnt from many successful entrepreneurs that if you have a business that do not generate money, you deserve to die. Thus, Customers Must Always Pay!
2. Business is a TEAM Sport!
-We must understand that Business is a TEAM Sport!
What do I mean by saying that?
In a business, there are many different sections of a business. For example, the accounting section of a business, you will need an accountant who is an expert in accounting to help you do your accounts. Another example is the legal frameworks of a business, you need a lawyer who specialise in law to help you. In addition, for communications, you need a Public Relations expert to help you produce messages and ensure that your message is carved and sent to the public the way you wanted. Therefore, you need a team of experts who are experts in different areas to be working in the same team in your business so that you can achieve positive results.
3. Set Your Intention Right Before You Do Anything.
Before you do anything, set your intention right.
What do I mean by that?
When you are going to do task and you want positive results, you should set your intention that it will give you positive results. What your mind conceives, it will comes true. Thus, the intention you have is very important as the other party can sense it.
One example is in a selling situation where you are the seller and you want to sell a product to A, if you intention is just to make a sale, usually your actions and behaviour will reflect you as a salesman. A can sense your intention somehow especially when you hardsell. Don’t ask me how exactly A is able to sense it but I believe the energy you emit is very important. Sometimes, you subconsciously emit negative energy even with you knowing because you intention is not set right. Thus, you need to know what is your intention before and during the event.
All in all, this seminar benefited me a lot as I got practise how to write an elevated pitch, how to sell and how to handle objections.
